Now I have a 560 CCA ACDelco, which I think is also manufactured by Delphi. This may have simply been a goodwill gesture by the dealer.I'm pretty sure I had a 310 CCA Delphi battery. In Quebec and central, northern & eastern Ontario, as well as the US midwest, Alberta, Saskatchewan & Manitoba, 310 CCA just isn't enough.I felt certain that there must have been a TSB or some sort of warning from GM, as dealers aren't usually that co-operative. I had simply told them several times that the battery was having a heck of a time turning the engine over at anything below -10 C, in spite of my having 0W30 oil and a block heater. They performed an AVR test, told me the results were OK, but said they were going to replace the battery anyway. They decided to replace it without undue pressure from me.
